Farzin Mottaghi is a senior visual effects compositor based in Toronto with over 15 years of experience contributing to feature films, television series, and commercial productions. Throughout his career he has worked with leading visual effects studios including Pixomondo, Mavericks VFX, Folks VFX, Company 3, and Krow VFX.

Farzin specializes in high-end compositing using Nuke, with a focus on integrating complex CG elements seamlessly into live-action footage. Known for his strong attention to detail and collaborative approach, he is frequently entrusted with hero shots and technically demanding sequences that require both creative judgment and precision.

His work has contributed to major productions such as The Mandalorian, John Wick: Chapter 4, The Boys, Westworld, Star Trek: Discovery, The Umbrella Academy, and Wonder Woman. Farzin was part of the compositing team on the Emmy-winning episode of The Mandalorian, with one of his shots featured in the episode’s awards submission reel.

In addition to his traditional compositing work, Farzin continues to expand his skillset by exploring emerging AI-assisted visual effects workflows, including ComfyUI, as the industry evolves and new creative tools become part of modern production pipelines.
